A new round of help is on the way for the Small Business community. During this new wave or second chapter of the pandemic, there was an announcement made earlier this week by SBA administrator Isabella Casillas Guzma; saying that there are still billions of dollars; $800 billion to be exact, available for small businesses to apply for. Additionally, the portal for PPP Loan Forgiveness was also opened recently. There are also some lenders looking to re-lend to qualifying small businesses owners.

While this news of billions of dollars in aid money becoming available is good, those small business owners who really needed it last year at the beginning and during the height of the pandemic, are probably scratching their heads on where all of this surplus of money mysteriously came from. As we all remember, so many small businesses got rejected or declined for loans because of being told that the funds ran out during that time and for many other reasons which are still unknown. This unfortunately caused a lot of small businesses to shut their doors. Some closed prematurely and some were led to suspending their operations indefinitely due to the shutdown and lack of resources. The main reason for this is to get the economy stimulated enough to get things back to how they were pre-pandemic. Hopefully more businesses who are still struggling will be able to get the funding they need this time around.
